The history of Kpop Achillean began on July 2022 as a result of fans, specifically queer fanboys, wanting to share and celebrate male idols in a safe and inclusive environment. As time went on, we built a powerful platform with the help of fans who came together to celebrate Kpop, and now we feel like we can contribute towards the Korean LGBTQ+ community, as queer fans ourselves 🌈
*The Korean queer community face discrimination on a daily basis as a result of religious indoctrination in society as well as hateful lawmakers in power. Sexual minorities (LGBTQ+ people) in Korea often face discrimination in housing, job opportunities, and even disrespect in everyday life just because of who they love.
Trans people in particular face even more prejudice and threats of violence for existing in their own skin. Every year, activists in Korea are working against a heavy tide of homophobia to raise awareness for sexual minorities in all aspects.

How does the event work?
We are so proud to be working alongside 7 super talented fan artists for our very first edition of this fundraiser!They will offer one free request from a prompter and you as a fan are encouraged to participate by donating $3 USD per ticket for a chance to prompt your favorite contributing artist 🖼After bids are completed by the end of June, one winner for each contributor will be selected by a random number generator to have their prompt made into real fan content!
All proceeds will be going to LGBTQ+ charities in South Korea.

★Beyond The Rainbow Foundation•website •twitterBeyond The Rainbow is South Korea's first LGBTQ+ foundation established on January 2014. They organize LGBTQ+ local events to raise awareness and inclusion towards queer people in smaller Korean communities, as well as to fight for their rights and educate the public. They also run and preserve the "Korean Queer Archive", an important historical record of the Korean LGBTQ+ Rights movement. As a queer Kpop fan, you may know them through their "QPlanet" YouTube channel, where they have shared interesting content about many of our favorite groups and how we can see ourselves through their artistry, connecting queer Korean fans with queer International fans!
★ Seoul Queer Culture Festival•website •twitterSouth Korea's largest Pride festival! SQCF is the organization that manages the Seoul Pride Parade, as well as the Korea Queer Film Festival. This year is the 25th anniversary of Seoul Pride, and despite facing major opposition from local homophobic groups, they continue to push through every year. The SQCF also supports Pride celebrations in other Korean cities.
